Thanks to Amanda for submitting this picture. She really brings this outfit to life. |
This piece consisted of many pieces that were eventually stitched together. Per customer request the cocoon was solid crocodile stitch. A knit waistband was added along with an elastic core for a comfortable fit. The headband was knit for maximum stretch with a starfish adornment.
Where can I purchase this pattern?
ReplyDeleteJulia there actually is no pattern for the tail. I stitched it without a pattern and I have found trying to write up the pattern to be a tad difficult because of the complexity of the crocodile stitch. I will say though that I stitched the cocoon in two separate sides and then sewed them together if that helps. There is a pattern for the seashells that I have written up if you are interested in that.
DeleteAshley this is beautiful! I would love to make this for my new niece
ReplyDelete. Can you share any info, chains, #rows, etc? Would also love pattern for seashells, beautiful work!
Apologies on the delay on getting back to you Deirdre. I currently have this pattern being tested and should have it available in the next month in my Etsy and Ravelry shops. The seashells pattern is over on this page http://thedailystitches.blogspot.com/2014/10/seashell.html .
DeleteHope this helps. :)
